KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Nepal recorded eight deaths linked to the COVID-19 along with 1,095 new cases and 2,957 recoveries on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Among the 13,817 tests conducted on Wednesday, 975 PCR tests and 120 antigens turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. So far, Nepal has recorded 874,629 cases of COVID-19 and 752,170 recoveries.

According to the MoHP, there are currently 22,323 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 20,891 are in home isolation, 1,432 in institutional isolation, 371 in ICUs and 108 on ventilators. Similarly, 264 are currently in quarantine.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 396 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 298 were recorded in Kathmandu, 63 in Bhaktapur and 35 in Lalitpur districts.
