KATHMANDU, June 30: Nepal recorded 2,892 new cases, 3,597 recoveries and 41 deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,187 PCR tests and 4,381 antigen tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 2,892 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 673,749 including 596,132 recoveries and 9,112 deaths.

There are currently 33,561 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 30,544 COVID-19 patients are in home isolation, 3017 in institutional isolation, 627 in ICUs and 175 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 572 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of them, 436 were detected in Kathmandu, 46 in Bhaktapur and 189 in Lalitpur districts.
There are 17 districts in Nepal with more than 500 active cases of COVID-19 each as of Wednesday.
