KATHMANDU, July 21: Nepal recorded 2,838 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Likewise, 1,475 COVID-19 patients recovered from and 30 died of COVID-19 on the same day.
According to the MoHP, 8,715 PCR tests and 3,901 antigen tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 1,918 PCR tests and 920 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.
2,401 new corona cases detected thru 11,696 tests
So far, as many as 9,637 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.
With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has reached 724,455. Of them, 636,402 have recovered and 9,637 have died so far.
Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 697 new cases on Wednesday. Of them, 79 were recorded in Bhaktapur, 128 in Lalitpur and 490 in Kathmandu districts.
There are currently 627 COVID-19 patients in ICUs and 171 on ventilators across the country.
