KATHMANDU, June 18: Nepal records 2,768 new cases, 4,020 recoveries and 44 deaths on Friday, June 18: Nepal recorded 2,768 new cases of COVID-19 along with 4,020 recoveries and 44 deaths on Friday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,569 PCR tests and 5,468 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 2,768 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 642,808 including 549,682 recoveries and 8,641 deaths.
There are currently 55,375 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 4,249 in institutional isolation, 872 in ICUs and 246 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 508 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 394 were detected in Kathmandu, 54 in Bhaktapur and 60 in Lalitpur districts.
