Nepal records 2,619 new cases, 14 fatalities, 368 recoveries

872 cases detected in Kathmandu Valley alone

KATHMANDU, April 24: Nepal recorded as many as 2,619 new cases, 368 cases of recoveries and 14 fatalities related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 2,486 new cases were detected through PCR tests and 133 cases through antigen tests in the past 24 hours.

Similarly, the health ministry also recorded 14 fatalities and 368 cases of recoveries from COVID-19 in the past one day.

Likewise, as many as 644 new cases were detected in Kathmandu, 87 in Bhaktapur, 141 in Lalitpur, 352 in Banke in the past 24 hours.

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has reached 297,087 as of Saturday evening.
