KATHMANDU, June 18: Nepal has recorded 2,421 new cases, 3,558 recoveries and 81 deaths on Wednesday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,461 PCR tests and 4,953 antigen tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 2,421 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 656,891 including 568440 recoveries and 8,894 deaths.

There are currently 47246 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 3,234 in institutional isolation, 734 in ICUs and 213 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 497 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of them, 346 were detected in Kathmandu, 57 in Bhaktapur and 97 in Lalitpur districts.
