Nepal records 1,558 new cases, 1351 recoveries and 10 deaths on Friday

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Of the 12,385 tests for COVID-19 conducted on Friday, 1,558 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Of the 12,385 tests for COVID-19 conducted on Friday, 1,558 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


According to the MoHP, Nepal recorded 1,558 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 1,351 recoveries and 10 deaths.

There are currently 25,497 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 23,950 have isolated themselves at their homes, 1,547 are staying isolated at various health institutions, 386 are in ICUs, 236 in quarantine facilities and 117 are on ventilators.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 397 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 274 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 53 in Bhaktapur and 70 in Lalitpur districts.
