Nepal Open Taekwondo Championship is going to held in Kathmandu- 2017

OREGON, Oct 29: The united union of former Nepalese Taekwondo players and coaches affiliated to the Universal United Nepalese Taekwondo Federation (UUNTF) assembled for their second general assembly in Portland, Oregon and declared that they are going to organized a Nepal Open Taekwondo Championship in Kathmandu- 2017 as well as they declared that they are going to provide scholarship for the best player of the championship and going to award one person who had contributed his/her best for the development of UUNTF.


In the assembly, Mr. Jaganlal Shrestha (Bipin), active member of UUNTF was awarded for his unconditional contribution for the development of UUNTF by Mr. Kesab Kumar Bista, member secretary of National Sport Council, Nepal and Mr. Raj Kumar Rai, president of UUNTF. In the very occasion, Ms. Nisha Rawal was also awarded with one thousand US dollar cash and appreciation letter for her best performance in the recently held Olympic game.

Karen Blacklage, General Secretary of international open friendship Taekwondo champion was honored as nominal membership of UUNTF from the hand of Mr. Raj Kumar Rai, president of UUNTF.


The second general assembly was chaired by Mr. Raj Kumar Rai and welcome remarks were given by Mr. Ramchandra K.C, central committee member of UUNTF. Other speakers were Mr. Santosh Pradhan, former chief coach USA, Mr. Rastra Rai chairman of Sagarmatha dojang, chairman of Sagarmatha Taekwondo Dojan UK, Mr. Sundar Gurung, chairman of UUNTF chapter UK, Mr. Kumar Bahadur Karki, chairman of UUNTF chapter USA, Mr. Love Prasad Gorkhali, program coordinator and board of director UUNTF and Mr. Jaganlal Shrestha, board of director, UUNTF.


According to the program coordinator and Board of Director, Mr. Love Prasad Gorkhali, in total, 45 Nepalese former players and coaches from Nepal, Japan, America, Hong Kong, UK, Shree Lanka, Macau, Austria and Canada were participated in the general assembly. 


UUNTF is the international umbrella organization of Nepalese former Taekwondo players, coaches and referees scattered around the world. Whether being in Nepal or abroad, each and every sport person has dreams to work for the development of nation. Nepalese national player and master instructors like Raj Kumar Rai, President-Canada, Love Gorkhali-USA, Jaganlal (Bipin) Shrestha-USA, Sita Rai -USA, Rastra Rai -UK, Diwakar Maharjan- USA, Santosh Pradhan-USA, Sudarsan -KC- USA, Kumar Karki- USA, Alok Rana -Australia, Siddhartha Shrestha -Japan, Norbu Lama, Manmohan Waiba -Nepal etc are among them. It is the dream project of all enthusiastic Taekwondo players and master instructors who have collectively committed to support Nepalese athletes both financially and technically to achieve higher standards at National and International level. It had already set up its offices in USA, UK, Canada, Hong-Kong and Nepal with others 14 countries representative 41 central executive board members around the world.
