Nepal Olympic Committee bids farewell to Nepali ski team

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Nepal Olympic Committee officials bade farewell to a six-member ski team to China on Tuesday.


The Nepali team will participate in the the FIS Development Programme - Alpine Training Camp 2024 at Baidahu Ski Resort in Jilin Province, China, from February 29 to March 8. The team includes four players Dinesh Kumar Bohara, Debora Timalsina, Laxmi Rai, and Ujjwal Giri.

Sworaj Shrestha is the team manager and Saphal Shrestha is the coach Following the training camp, the team members will also participate in the 32nd Alpine Ski Championship (Junior) to be held at Baidahu Ski Resort from March 9 to March 10.


NOC General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha and Treasurer Ratan Kumar Tandon bade the players farewell and extended their best wishes to the team. NOC has expressed its full support and encouragement to the team. Representatives of Nepal Ski Association were also present during the program.
