KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) bade farewell to the Nepali team participating in the Fifth Asian Beach Games on Wednesday. 



NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, General Secretary Tendi Sherpa, and Treasurer Ratan Tandan bade farewell to the players amidst a program organized at NOC office, Satdobato.  

Nepal will participate in six games - sambo, sepak takraw, kurash, basketball, body building and volleyball - in the Asian Beach Games to be held in Danang, Vietnam. 



Meanwhile, Bhagwati Majhi will carry the national flag during the march-past in the opening ceremony. 



Similarly, Asmita Chhantyal, Himprabha Khatri and Krishna Lal Tamang will represent Nepal in sambo while sepak takraw team comprises Sajan Dangol, Anil Gurung, Alen Gurung, Anil Magar and Rupesh Sunuwar. Dhananjaya Shrestha is coach of the sambo team while Puroshattam Simkhada is the team manager. Likewise Ram Bahdur Chhetri is sepak takraw team coach and Netra Prasad Gurung is team manager. 



Pratap Ghising and Bhagwati Majhi will participate in kurash and Pratikshya Kharel is flying with the kurash team as team manager. 



Basketball team consist of Ashim Shrestha, Saurabh Shrestha, Sadish Pradhan and Ayush Singh while Dinesh Chandra Nakarmi is the coach. 



Dev Raj Parajuli and Garub Prasad Shrestha are taking part in bodybuilding while Kopila Upreti and Kamala Pun are representing Nepal in beach volleyball. Sudesh Kumar Rimal is flying as coach of beach volleyball team.
