KATHMANDU, May 14: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has officially bid farewell to the national cricket team departing for Scotland to participate in the ICC World Cup League 2 tri-series and a T20I series.
The farewell program was held on Wednesday in the presence of CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, Secretary Paras Khadka, other CAN officials, and team management. The team is scheduled to leave for Scotland later this evening.

In the League 2 tri-series, Nepal will face hosts Scotland and the Netherlands from June 2 to June 10. The series is expected to be a challenging one for Nepal, which is under pressure to deliver a strong performance.
Following the tri-series, Nepal is also set to play T20I matches against both countries from June 15 to June 20.
For the League 2 matches CAN have appointed Rohit Paudel as captain and Dipendra Singh Airee as vice-captain. The squad includes Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh (wicketkeeper), Gulshan Jha, Anil Shah, Bhim Sharki, Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, Basir Ahmad, Nandan Yadav, Rijhan Dhakal, Lalit Rajbanshi, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Karan KC.
Additionally, Kiran Kumar Thagunna, Rupesh Singh, and Lokesh Bam will join the squad for the T20I series.
