Addressing the function, special member of NKCCI Rajesh Kaji Shrestha appealed the Nepali businessmen in South Korea to take stronger initiatives for transforming their personal ties with businessmen back home to create more bilateral trade. He also asked the NKBA and NKCCI to work more closely to bring in more South Korean investment in Nepal in sectors like tourism, hydropower, infrastructure and agriculture, among others.
"The two associations should clearly identify areas wherein business and investment opportunities exist in Nepal as well as South Korea and work with a common strategy to attain this goal," a press statement quoted Shrestha as saying.
KC said his association NKBA would regularly exchange business related information, share emerging investment opportunities and possible business ties ups, and make arrangements to facilitate Nepali business community to take part in trade fair and other promotional activities in South Korea.
Saakha, on the other hand, stressed the need to deepen business ties between Nepali and Korean business community, make Korean investors aware of investment opportunities in Nepal, and hold frequent talks for building an environment of trust between the businessmen of the two countries.
