Following the result, host Bangladesh also entered the last four as the group winner. Despite closing the group stage with equal five points, Nepal finished second on goal difference. Nepal will meet Group A winner and Bangladesh will face runner-up of the group to be decided after Saturday's match.
Both Nepal and Bangladesh had secured semifinal berths prior to their match after Sri Lanka overcame Felda United of Malaysia 2-1 in the day's earlier match.
En route to the semifinals, Nepal had played a goalless draw against Felda United (Malaysia) and beat Sri Lanka 1-0 in the second match, while Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka 4-2 in its opener and played a 1-1 draw against Felda United in the second match.
Meanwhile, both Sri Lanka and Felda United failed to make it to the next round as Sri Lanka collected three points from three matches and Felda United went packing with two points from the same numbers of matches.
In the last group match, Bangladesh adopted attacking approach and piled up consistence pressure on Nepal. However, it failed to score against Nepal which way playing counter-attack game. Nepali glovesman Bikesh Kutu made some heroic saves to deny the home team.
Nepal goalie Bikesh saved Hemanto Biswas's strike in the 22nd minute and punched Mamunul's free-kick to safety a minute later.
Similarly, Bikesh denied Hemanto's counter move in the 56th minute inside the danger zone.
