KATHMANDU, Oct 5: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Wednesday said that Nepal-India relation has reached a new height following high-level visits from both the countries.

Speaking at an interaction at Reporters’ Club, envoy Rae claimed that a milestone has been added in Nepal-India relation due to the bilateral visits.

“A high-level political understanding has been reached. The visits were not limited to formalities, they have earned achievements,” he argued, “Our foreign minister Sushma Swaraj has visited Nepal five times, while Nepal’s foreign ministers have visited India six times.”

Envoy Rae said that the upcoming visit by Indian President Pranab Mukharjee will add a new milestone in the relation.
