KATHMANDU, March 18: The National Geographic Adventure magazine has enlisted Nepal and Brazil as the two best adventure destinations of the world.

While Brazil has made its second appearance in this category within three years, it is the maiden entry for Nepal.

The National Geographic report, compiled by tourism and adventure experts, may help Nepal’s drive to host as many tourists as possible in the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

Brazil had hosted the Adventure Travel World Summit in September, one of the premier global forums on adventure tourism. Adventure tourism has brought over four million tourists to Brazil, according to the Brazilian Association of Adventure Tourism Companies, generating over R$490 million in earnings.
