Tuesday´s match against Kuwait is important for Nepal in order to keep the hope of qualifying for the ICC World Twenty20 World Qualifiers alive. The UAE leads the group with four points.
Nepal registered win over Hong Kong in the opening match of the tournament and lost to the UAE in the second match.
Nepal has so far displayed poor batting and fielding in the tournament. The Nepali team has scored 210 runs in two matches though they played full 20 overs in both. Nepal paid dearly for dropping three catches in the second match and was plagued by same problem in the first match.
The fielding remained sloppy in the second match.
However, Nepali captain Paras Khadka vowed to bounce back and win the remaining matches against Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Nepal has won all the matches played against Kuwait in the past. Nepal and Kuwait had played four 50-over matches and a Twenty20 match.
Nepal Coach Pubudu Dassanayake had earlier said that the most of the Kuwait players are of Pakistani origin and they could play aggressive shots and he has a plan to topple that.
“We have two matches left and we have to win both of them to stay in the tournament,” said skipper Khadka.
