Nepal Army hands over Khulalu-Laifu-Salisalla road section of Karnali corridor

KATHMANDU, July 15: The Nepal Army (NA) has handed over Khulalu-Laifu-Salisalla road section of Karnali corridor to the government agency concerned. 


NA Major Milan Karki, chief technician of Nepal Army task force for Karnali corridor road construction, handed over the road after its completion to Bishnu Das Lama, project chief of North-South Trade Route – Hilsa-Simikot Road Project – amid an event.

The road – 122.75 KM in length and 6 meters in breadth – connects Kalikot, Bajura and Humla districts. With the completion of Khulalu-Laifu-Salisalla road section of Karnali corridor, Tanjhakot, Adhanchuli, Chakheli and Sarkegard Rural Municipality of Humla districts are now connected to the national road network.


The government had given the responsibility to construct Khulalu-Laifu-Salisalla road section to Nepal Army on March 19, 2015.
