Nepal Airlines, Japan Airlines ink interline deal for global travel connectivity

According to this agreement, passengers and baggage check-in facilities will be available from Nepal Airlines Corporation tickets to the final destination around the world through connecting flights of Japan Airlines. Tourists from all over the world will be able to visit Nepal easily through the same network.

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Nepal Airlines and Japan Airlines have signed a bilateral interline agreement, allowing passengers to book tickets through Nepal Airlines for global destinations and travel via Japan Airlines.


The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and Japan's national flag carrier Japan Airlines signed the bilateral interline partnership for business expansion. According to this agreement, the NAC's aircraft will take passengers to Narita International Airport in Japan through direct flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation. It will be easy to travel to various American and Western countries and Korea through short and fast connecting flights thereafter.

Similarly, through this agreement, the corporation's business is anticipated to expand, as this move  aims to promote and develop tourism in the entire country and earn foreign exchange, according to a press release issued by Nepal Airlines Corporation Spokesperson Ramesh Poudel.


This agreement, which was concluded after a long period of continuous coordination and negotiations under the special direction of the Corporation's Executive Chairman Yubaraj Adhikari and the special initiative of the Market Management Department, said that after this agreement, Nepal and Japan will expand trade between the two countries through the national flag carriers of the two countries. With this, the number of airlines that have passenger interline partnership agreements with the corporation has reached 25.


Likewise, the number of airlines that have cargo partnership agreements with the corporation is 28. The corporation is confident that the corporation's global network will expand further with the increase in the number of aircraft in the coming days.
