KATHMANDU, March 22: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday said that Nepal is strongly committed to the ‘One-China Policy’ and will not allow its land to be used against the northern neighbor.

Addressing a function at Renmin University, Beijing, the PM said, “As a friendly neighbor, Nepal has always been well aware of the sensitivities of China. Nepal adheres strongly to the ‘One-China Policy, and has not allowed its land to be used, under any pretext, against China.  And it will continue to keep this commitment firm and intact.

PM added that the relations between Nepal and China have been firmly fortified on the foundations of ‘Panchasheel’, five principles of peaceful coexistence.

“The sovereign equality, non-interference, and respect for each other’s sensitivities have guided our stable friendship,” he said.
