NEA slashes power cut by four hours a day

KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reduced the duration of power outage by four hours a day effective from Tuesday. [break]



The NEA decided to reduce power cuts owing to the increase in water levels and as the maintenance works on the Kulekhani II hydropower project were recently completed.



Bhuwan Kumar Chettry, an official at the NEA Load dispatch center, said that the NEA has decided to reduce the power cuts duration to 27 hours in a week.
