RAJBIRAJ, Nov 11: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Distribution Centre – Rajbiraj has arrested two dozen individuals involved in electric power hooking from various locations in Saptari.
A joint monitoring team of the Centre and District Police Office (DPO), Saptari arrested 14 persons from Pipara, Balaradaha, Kamalpur and Maleth areas for tapping into the electric pole lines to steal electricity, Centre's Chief Ramudgar Sah said.
The authorities also arrested 10 from Pathargada, Belhichapena, Nargo VDCs in western Saptari for power hooking.
The NEA Distribution Centre – Rajbiraj has so far arrested 123 individuals for electricity theft and drawn Rs 1.9 in revenues in the past three months. RSS
