KATHMANDU, Nov 4: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has recommended the names of governors for the seven provinces.
The secretariat meeting of NCP on Monday recommended the provincial chiefs which have remained vacant after President Bidya Devi Bhandari relieved the former governors on the recommendation of the council of ministers on Sunday.

The recommended governors are Amik Sherchan (Chitwan), Somnath Adhikari Pyasi (Kaski), Tilak Pariyar (Banke), Dharmanath Yadav (Siraha), Bishnu Prasai (Jhapa), Govinda Kalauni (Dadeldhura) and Sharmila Tripathi (Kathmandu).
A meeting of the council of ministers later this afternoon is expected to nominate them for the seven provinces, according to sources.
