KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Ncell has sustained a loss of Rs 90 million in the catastrophic Bhotekoshi-Trishuli flood with the private sector telecommunication company reporting damages to its towers and optical fiber structure.
The flood damaged Ncell's mobile tower in Timure. Similarly, more than 60 kilometers of optical fiber line have been completely damaged. Ncell has stated that the initial estimate of damage is Rs 90 million.

Ncell stated that more than 300,000 customers in the flood-affected areas have been utilizing free telecommunications service after the flood.
The company has been providing free voice, data and SMS services since August 26, targeting the residents of the affected areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.
