The NC organized a support rally in Lahan while the UML Siraha expressed its support to the Madhes movement organizing a press conference. The NC Siraha has also called for establishing an autonomous Madhes province.
The UIML Siraha has called for delineation of two provinces in the Madhes from Jhapa in the east to Kanchanpur in the west. Likewise, it demanded that the electoral constituencies be determined on the basis of population, arrangements be made for ensuring the proportional inclusiveness representation and implementation of the 22-point and the eight-point agreements signed in the past.
The UML Siraha president Kedarnath Yadav said they would join the street protests together with the UDMF if the genuine demands were not fulfilled. RSS
