NC to call a meeting of top leaders, PM over army row

KATHMANDU, March 18: A meeting of six political parties convened by Nepali Congress (NC) Wednesday morning decided to hold another round of meeting of top leaders with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the afternoon to settle the row over Nepal Army generals´ term extension row .



The meeting held at the residence of NC President Girija Prasad Koirala at Maharajgunj entrusted Koirala to take initiatives for convening the meeting. [break]



Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel of NC, Keshav Badal and Rajendra Pandey of CPN-UML, LaxmanLal Karna of Sadbhavana Party, CP Mainali of CPN-ML, Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Deepak Bohara of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Surya Bahadur Thapa of Rastriya Janashakti Party, among other, attended the meeting.



The leaders in the meeting had termed the government decision a mistake, according to NC leader Poudel.
