In his address to a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union, Palpa chapter here today, the Spokesperson for the main opposition party said only 30 percent of the total budget ( Rs 1.53 trillion) has been allocated for development expenditure. "This kind of budget will not develop the country."
In his indirect response to the criticism of the party failing to prove its effective presence as the main opposition, he said, the party had adopted a peaceful and democratic way to make people aware of the government activities. "Burning tyres in the street, banda, imposing traffic strikes and the face-to-face confrontation with the government are not something for present strategies of the party." ‘ He took time to call on the Netra Bikram Chand ' Biplab-led' group to quit the politics of violence, urging the government not to identify and treat the Group as a prohibitory faction.
