We have asked them to send in their suggestions,” NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel, who also heads the election manifesto committee, told Republica.
NC has also asked NC´s sister organizations and well-wishers, laborers, employees, intellectuals, industrialists, businessmen, journalists, human rights activists, sports organizations, professionals and people from all walks of life to provide suggestions on the party´s election manifesto.
A Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of NC on August 17 formed a 15-member committee headed by Poudel to step up preparations for the election. The committee has already started drafting the election manifesto as per the suggestions received from the party´s Mahasamiti and CWC members.
NC has decided to prepare election manifesto in line with the party´s political paper finalized in Nawalparasi. A majority of CWC members have demanded that the election manifesto incorporate a concrete proposal on federalism and the party´s work plan for the next five years in government after election.
