KAVRE, June 7: Vice-President of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, has said that it was necessary for Nepali Congress to bring majority in the election to promulgate a democratic constitution from the next Constituent Assembly (CA).

Poudel said that the task of promulgating the constitution was not completed as NC could not get majority in previous CA, so it needs majority to complete the task.[break]

Addressing the mass meeting organised by the NC Mahadevsthan VDC, Kavre, in Kavre district today, Poudel directed the party cadres to engage in election as the election was going to be held by third week of November.

He said there was no alternative to election for giving an outlet to the existing political crisis and for the development of the country.

Poudel further said that support from all walks of life was necessary to make the CA election a success.

The programme was organised under the chairmanship of NC Mahadevsthan VDC President, Ramhari Sapkota.
