KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to field its candidate for the upcoming election for president.
NC spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat informed Republica that a meeting of the party’s office bearers and ex-officio members held on Monday morning decided to run for the election to the president. He said that the meeting is focused on the upcoming presidential election.

Stating that the presidential election should be held on time, Mahat said that the NC is eligible for the position and that the election should not be postponed for any reason.
