KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The ruling Nepali Congress has decided to bring together the democratic, progressive and nationalist parties for the electoral alliance. It would be a broader democratic front.
The central work execution committee meeting held at Baluwatar on Thursday discussed current politics and the selection of candidates for the forthcoming elections, said leader NP Saud.
According to him, the meeting also prepared the agenda for the next meeting of the central work execution committee and how it could forge electoral alliance with other political parties.
The meeting chaired by party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was attended by senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Dr Sashank Koirala, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav, among others.
Following the announcement of electoral alliance by the ruling CPN (Maoist-Centre), major opposition CPN UML and the Naya Shakti Party, the Nepali Congress decided to forge the democratic front. RSS
