KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Nepali Congress-CPN (Maoist Center) alliance and United Democratic Mdhesi Front (UDMF) are holding a meeting in New Baneshwar to forge a common ‘road map’ in line with the agreement reached on Monday night.
The agreement will be unveiled in a written form following the endorsement by the top leaders, a UDMF leader told Republic Online.
The leaders of the NC-Maoist Center alliance and UDMF had some differences over the number and delineation of provinces in the meeting last night.

In the meeting, even though the NC-Maoist Center leaders agreed to all the points, there were some differences over the number and delineation of the provinces forwarded by the UDMF. The meeting ended with a note that the remaining differences would be resolved in a meeting on Tuesday morning.
“The agreement will be signed in the meeting to be held on Tuesday morning,” Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Hridayesh Tripathi told Republic Online, “The deal paper will also include voting Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the prime ministerial election.”
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UDMF leaders Upendra Yadav, Mahantha Thakur and Rajendra Mahato are in the meeting.
