KATHMANDU, March 2: The Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded that the government investigate the incident of the death of Shalin Pokharel, a 14-year-old student of Shishu Niketan Boarding School located in Ratnanagar Municipality-10 of Chitwan.
Pokharel was found dead in the hostel of the same school a few days ago. Issuing a statement on Saturday, the party has called for an impartial investigation into the incident, bring out the truth and facts as soon as possible and take action against the culprits.

Stating that the incident has drawn serious attention of the party, the statement said that it is a very serious matter for a student under guardianship of the school to be found hanging dead under suspicious circumstances.
The statement issued by Chief Secretary of the NC central office Krishna Prasad Paudel also extended the party's heartfelt condolences to the family of Shalin Pokharel, while paying tributes to the late Pokharel.
