NC and UML youths take to streets calling for constitutional supremacy

KATHMANDU, Sep 11: A group of youths representing the youth and student wings of the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML have taken to the streets, calling for the establishment of constitutional supremacy.



Defying the prohibitory order enforced by the Nepali Army, they gathered at different locations, displaying placards. The Gen Z movement has created a situation where people have begun to sense a constitutional void, as differing opinions among young people have taken center stage in public discussion.

Many youths have argued that the new interim government should be formed under the existing constitution, while others have demanded the dissolution of parliament, among other proposals.
