NEPALGUNJ, Oct 10: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said that present political deadlock would not end until a national consensus government was formed.

"The post of Prime Minister is not an important issue. Whether the consensus government ends the political deadlock is more important," Koirala said at a cadres´ meet on Wednesday morning.[break]

Making it clear that the NC was not in favor of the constituent assembly (CA) revival, Koirala said fresh elections were the best option as per the democratic norms and values.

Koirala said major political parties should forge consensus in principle regarding the constitution making prior to elections.
