KATHMANDU, May 4: Kathmandu Sports Society felicitated the National Para Taekwondo team coach Kabiraj Negi Lama on Friday.
On the occasion of Ganeshman Singh SEI Cup Futsal Championship at the Grassroot Futsal in Mandikhatar, Former Health Minister Gagan Thapa and the society’s President Badri Bhattarai felicitated Lama for helping the Para Taekwondo team win an international medal. The society decided to felicitate Lama for taking over the responsibility of the team and helping the differently-able players to win an important gold medal for Nepal.
Para Taekwondo athlete Palesha selected for Para Olympics
Under Lama’s guidance, the Nepali team won the bronze medals in the Third Asian Para Taekwondo Championship in Korea and the Eighth World Para Taekwondo in Turkey.
On the same occasion, the medal winners of the Eighth National Games and the players who played in the championship were also felicitated.
In the Eighth National Games, Ranabhat siblings Manisha and Ganesh who won the silver medals in weight-lifting, silver medal winner in shooting Kuber KC and Upendra Thapa who played at the Asian Games in kurans were felicitated as well.
