Rauniyar earned 7.5 points with a win over Surbir Lamain in the last round. Krishna Thapa, Raju Subedi, Niraj Niraula, Dharam Bahadhur Lama, Singhesor Das, Niranjan Prajapati and Rajan Puri finished from the fourth to the 10th positions repectively.
Himal Rai topped in the unrated category while Suraj Tiwari remained in the second position. Sitaram Agrawal topped the veteran category.
Shrestha re-elected in Three Star
The general assembly of first division outfit Mega Three Star Club held on Sunday has re-elected Lalit Krishna Shrestha as its president for a term of three years.
The general assembly held for the first time since 2059 BS elected the 15-member committee unanimously.
Kul Bahadur Manandhar, Hari Maharjan, Niwas Gopal Baidhya, Atish Krishna Shrestha, Sanjeev Silpakar, Nirmal Ratna Shakya, Arunman Joshi, Ramesh Awale, Krishna Awale, Ram Shrestha, Krishna Bahadur Shrestha, Ram Krishna Chitrakar, Kishor Awale and Rabin Bajracharya are members of the committee.
The first meeting of the working committee will distribute portfolios to the members of the committee. Former president Gyan Bahadur Shakya will be an ex-officio member.
Meanwhile, the president has been authorized to nominate six members with consent from the working committee. The closed session also endorsed General Secretary Arunman Joshi and Co-treasurer Niwas Gopal Baidhya´s reports.

TT team off to Dehradun
An 11-member Nepali table tennis team, including eight players, left Kathmandu on Sunday for Dehradun, India to participate in the Indian Junior Cadet Open Table Tennis Tournament.
Nepal will participate in the cadet and junior categories of the tournament.
Pradeep Roka, Binesh Khaniya, Kajol Rauniyar and Solish Khadgi will participate in the junior boys´ and girls´ categories, while Krishna Thapa, Mani Lama, Manita Chitrakar and Erika Maharjan will compete in the cadet category.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from September 28 to October 2. Shankar Gautam and Sushil Paudel will be the referees in the tournament.
Neric, Galaxy to vie for basketball title
Neric and Galaxy School will lock horns in the final of boys´ basketball in the ongoing Eicher Gyan Carnival. Neric defeated Wilson 70-64 in the first semifinal on Sunday with 26 points from Deepak Khatri.
Likewise, Dhirendra Raut´s 18 points helped Galaxy thrash Siddhartha Vanasthali 64-36 for a place in the final.
In the girls´ semifinals, Daffodil beat Galaxy 27-23 while Mahendra Bhawan thumped Prithvi 49-22. In boys´ volleyball, Deep Jyoti A entered the final defeating Little Angels´ in two straight sets. Another semifinal match between Deep Jyoti B and Pushpa Sadan was halted due to rain.

APF and Chand Bagh on Sunday entered the final of the Junior Five-a-side Football in the Excelsior Cup. APF defeated Brihaspati Vidyasadan 4-2 while Chand Bagh overcame Galaxy 4-1 in tie-breaker.
In senior boys´ basketball, TIA registered a 60-55 win over LRI, while NIMS beat Galaxy 52-44. In the junior boys´ section, Daffodil edged past Mount Glory 25-21 while Wilson defeated the host The Excelsior 30-25 for a final spot.
