KATHMANDU, June 8: Due to ongoing road maintenance and repair work on the Nagdhunga-Naubise section of the Tribhuvan Highway, vehicle movement will be suspended for an additional 5 days.
The Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project (Eastern Section) has issued a notice stating that the road will be closed daily for four and a half hours from June 9 to June 13.
Dharke-Sitapaila road section to remain closed for 15 days
According to the notice, all vehicles will be completely stopped daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM during the period.
Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu towards Naubise will be stopped at the Nagdhunga checkpoint, while those coming from Naubise towards Kathmandu will be stopped at Khani Khola market.
During the road closure, the project has arranged alternative routes for small and medium vehicles. Travelers can use the following two routes including Sitapaila–Ramkot–Dharke road and Samakhushi–Tokha–Chhahare–Trishuli (Bidur)–Galchi road.
The notice also states that emergency vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and security forces will be allowed to operate without interruption.
