Nagarik scribe Bhadgaunle receives mountaineering award

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Journalist Amrit Bhadgaunle who has long been promoting mountaineering tourism through journalism has been awarded on Monday.

The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) honored him with Dawa Norbu Mountaineering Tourism Prize on the occasion of its 25th general assembly.


The prize carries a purse of Rs 25,000. Journalist Bhadgaunle has been writing in the field of mountaineering tourism for over 15 years.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Kripasur Sherpa, Former Tourism Minister Yang Kila Sherpa, Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN) Chairman Ramesh Dhamala, among others, had shed light on tourism on the occasion.
