KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has announced to subsidize airfare for physically disabled people by 50 percent in the domestic flight segment.
Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Sunday, the national flag carrier has come forth with a scheme to waive half of the cost of its service to physically challenged people. Ramesh Poudel, spokesperson for the NAC, said the NAC will be providing the facility to up to two such persons in every domestic flight.

According to the NAC, the person with physical disabilities and holders of red, blue and yellow identity cards will be eligible to receive the facility offered by the state-owned airline company. For this purpose, the card holders need to contact the NAC offices with their original certificates.
