Bikash Singh, 23, and Shailendra Mandal, 28, have been critically injured in the incident. The duo were shot at as they were having tea at a local teashop after returning from morning walk. [break]
According to a local Lalji Thakur, Singh had arrived home in leave after completing NA training.
Singh has received bullet in his thigh whereas Mandal in abdomen during the shootout. Both the injured are being treated at Jaleshwor based primary health center. According to Armed Police Force SP Kumar Neupane, both are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a Madhes-based underground outfit Janatantri Terai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti) has claimed responsibility for the incident.
