MYAGDI, March 13: A school at a remote VDC in Myagdi district is running classes in the open for lack of classrooms.

The Bishnu National Lower Secondary School at Arman Village Development Committee (VDC) is running classes at a nearby block belonging to the local Mothers´ Group and on the stage constructed for conducting the school assembly and cultural programmes.[break]

Although the school was upgraded to the lower secondary level from elementary status four years back, it has been facing shortage of classrooms as the physical infrastructure of the school was not upgraded accordingly.

The school has 10 rooms in three blocks but three rooms are occupied by library, the school office and computer lab. So, the school is short of two rooms for running classes, it is learnt.

Though the school has bought land for constructing another classroom block, it has not been able to start the construction works for paucity of budget. The school has 186 students.
