KATHMANDU, Dec 28: My City Pulse, an app that lists out all the best events and trendy promotions in the city, was launched on Wednesday at Club 25 Hours, Naxal.

My City Pulse is an especially designed app for tourists. The focus of the app is the insider’s view of our city through the eyes of local residents and businesses. This app has been designed in such a way that it provides convenience not just to tourists but also to the local residents.

One of the key features of the app is that it allows businesses to check market trends and improve on their existing marketing mix by tapping into market data accumulated by the businesses themselves coupled with data the app will be able to provide.

There are three main sections on the app: events, live map and promo.

User can scroll the event section and click on the ones they like best, for more details or sign in with Facebook through the app to redeem limited free entrance, free drinks and more by clicking the special offers button. Through the ‘get directions’ button, user scan find location of the event and its direction. Users can also crowdsource reviews and ask fellow event goers about the quality of the event on the open comment section to decide where to go.

Users can check out the ‘live map’ of the city with various pins that represent events and promos exactly where they are taking place on the map. The pins are live for the day, and change color according to how crowded it is. Yellow means there are 20 people or less at the event, green means between 20 to 100 people and red means there are over a 100 people there.

The promo section has various holiday offers, food promotions as well as products. Users can use this feature to crowdsource reviews before buying certain products. Users can also share events or promos with friends and family on Facebook through the share button.

The app is now available to download for free on both Android and iOS.
