“Since a public offense case has already been filed, the charge can be changed only after investigation. Complaints are not filed for the same incident repeatedly,” said Superintendent of Police (SP) Pradyumna Karki, chief of Morang DPO.[break]
Though the police filed a public offense case after the court incident, Abhishek and his wife Anisha have filed separate complaints charging the assailants with attempting to murder Abhishek.
The Giri couple has filed separate attempted murder complaints against more than three dozen people including Youth Force (YF) Morang chief Parshuram Basnet.
“The complaints filed by the Giri couple have been automatically registered,” SP Karki added.
Though Anisha had reached the DPO with an attempted murder complaint immediately after the incident, then Morang Deputy Superintendent of Police Sahakul Thapa had refused to register her complaint.
The police, however, eventually registered the complaints following pressure from different quarters.
