Municipality provides MBBS scholarship

DAILEKH, Sep 7: Aaathbis Municipality of Dailekh has decided to provide 75 percent scholarship to one talented student from the municipality to study MBBS.

DAILEKH, Sep 7: Aaathbis Municipality of Dailekh has decided to provide 75 percent scholarship to one talented student from the municipality to study MBBS.


Khadga Prasad Upadhyay, chief in Aaathbis Municipality said the local unit will allocate funds to cover 75 percent of the cost of the MBBS course. The municipality hopes this will help to produce skilled manpower inside the municipality.

The student securing highest marks in grade 12 will get the scholarship. The recipient should express commitment to work at the municipality after completion of their studies.


Upadhyay also informed that municipality has decided to provide scholarship for two more students—one for assistant nurse midwife and a health assistant courses. He said the students will be offered job at the village health centers after the completion of their studies.
