There are five municipalities in this constituency. Devghat Rural Municipality, Anbu Khaireni Rural Municipality, Bandipur Rural Municipality, Bhanu Municipality and Byas Municipality. The polling time is fixed from 7 am to 5 pm.

Voting materials have been delivered to all polling stations. CDO Rijal stated that all the staff had also arrived. A total of 2,600 security personnel will be mobilized for election security in the poll constituency in Tanahun.

Along with the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the Nepali Army personnel are also being mobilized in the by-elections. A total of 10 polling stations in the district are seen as security sensitive areas.

Initially, only three polling stations were said to be sensitive in terms of security, but now this number has increased to 10. CDO Rijal said that additional security personnel have been arranged at those polling stations.

Rijal also claimed that there will be no shortage of security personnel since there are enough security personnel compared to the previous election. Nepal Police will be mobilized inside the polling station. Apart from that, APF and external patrols will be done by the NA personnel. All security agencies will conduct mobile patrols. A reserve team will also be kept at the same place.

CDO Rijal said that ballot boxes will be collected in Tanahun by 12 pm on Sunday night.

By-elections are about to be held here after Ramchandra Paudel, the MP elected from this constituency, was elected as President. Gobinda Bhattarai of Nepali Congress, Swarnim Wagle of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Sarbendra Khanal from UML are the main competitors here.
