"If political adjustment with any Madhes based party does not materialize, we will seek an adjustment with one of the major political parties,” said Yadav. He also said that the party would seek political adjustments in all the constituencies where the party has a poor presence.

Stating that the party would field candidates with good image, Yadav said, “We will not field candidates with criminal background,” he added.

Asked about the party´s election manifesto, Yadav said the party has formed a seven-member team under the leadership party secretary Ratneshwar Lal Kayastha to prepare the draft of the election manifesto.

Stating that the party has already started picking up candidates for the upcoming polls, Yadav said, “We have instructed the district committees of the party to recommend candidates before the third week of September.”

On a different note, party spokesperson Kayastha said that they will prepare the draft the party´s election manifesto within two weeks. “We will stand for presidential system,” said Kayastha. He said the party would stand for presidential system as it would ensure inclusiveness and political stability.

Kayastha further said that the party would stand for fully proportional representation electoral system, arguing that leaders with a tainted image may also get elected in the First Past the post (FPTP) system.
