MPRF-D said that the party would not accept a constitution without federal structure based on identity and inclusiveness. In a bid to exert pressure for new federal constitution, the ruling Madhesi party has decided to mobilize the mass in the Tarai region. "We decided to go for mass mobilization in 22 districts of Madhes within two or three days for a constitution that guarantees autonomous Madhes state," Ojha stated.
Expressing serious concern over the deadlock in the peace process, the meeting urged party chairman and parliamentary party leader Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar to hold talks with major political parties to resolve the issue. The meeting stressed the need for unity and cooperation among pro-federal parties stating that ´some forces´ were hatching conspiracy against federalism.
The UDMF leaders said they decide to continue its support to the government, because withdrawing its support to the coalition was tantamount to being against federalism. "If we took such a decision at this time, we will be held accountable for all bad consequences such move will bring," argued Ojha.
