KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has warned of taking stern actions against those duping innocent people in the name of foreign employment. 


Receiving a memorandum from office-bearers of the Unified Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Organization Nepal on Wednesday afternoon, he stressed on the need to ensure cooperation from entrepreneurs so as to make the foreign employment sector dignified, secured and well-managed.

He asserted that the State would take stern actions against anyone involved in wrongdoings. He shared that preparation was underway to set up a separate system to conduct investigation and take action against those involved in irregularities in foreign employment sector. 


The Minister also called for foreign employment entrepreneurs to support his plan to check irregularities propping up in the foreign employment sector, establish a new system and make this sector dignified and well-managed. 


Secretary at the ministry, Ek Narayan Aryal said challenges emerging in foreign employment sector could be averted through coordinated efforts from all sides. 


He shared that the government has mooted a plan to establish foreign employment police in order to check anomalies and unlawful activities being carried out in the course of foreign employment.
