Speaking at an interaction on 'Mountain Tourism and Situation after Earthquake' in Kathmandu on Friday, they said private sector, government agencies and media should work in tandem to disseminate information that Nepal is safe and reconstruction works are going on rapidly.Ang Tshering Sherpa, president of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), said there should not be any delay in marketing and promotion of tourism products and services for the coming season. "Entrepreneurs are ready to welcome tourists and have worked hard for reconstruction of infrastructures affected in their areas," he added.
Da Gelje Sherpa, president of the High Altitude Mountain Workers Welfare Association, said tourism workers would be jobless if there are no tourists. "We are all prepared to welcome tourists. Everybody should spread the message that despite the destruction, mountains in Nepal are safe and are waiting for tourists, he added.
