Mortal remains of four students who died in Israel brought to Dhangadi

KATHMANDU, Oct 22: The bodies of four students who died in the Hamas attack in Israel have been brought to Dhangadi.

A total of 49 students studying in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sudurpaschim University have gone to Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ program.

Among those, 10 of them in Israel were killed in Hamas attacks. The bodies of four out of the 10 students who died in the attack by the Hamas group on Saturday, October 7, were brought to Dhangadhi on Sunday evening.

The bodies of the students were brought to Kathmandu via a Fly Dubai aircraft.

According to Dhangadhi Airport, the bodies were brought to Dhangadhi by a Nepali Army helicopter. Shiva Raj Joshi, Information Officer of District Administration Office, Kailali said that all the four bodies have been handed over to their relatives.

From Dhangadhi, the local administration has arranged for the bodies to be transported to the family home.

The dead bodies of Lokendra Singh Dhami of Darchula Malikarjan-4, Dipesh Raj Bista of Darchula Lekam-5, Narayan Prasad Neupane of Kailali Ghodaghodi-4 and Ashish Chaudhary of Bauniya-3, Kailali have been handed over to their relatives, according to the District Administration Office, Kailali.

Neupane's body was brought last night, Dhami and Bista's bodies were brought to Nepal on Sunday morning and Chaudhary's body was brought to Nepal in the afternoon.
